Brooklyn, New York, in the year 1882, my grandfather opened his Northern
European style bakery.
Since then the world has changed dramatically, but we at Renaissance
Bakery, Inc. are still family-owned and dedicated to keeping alive the wholesome traditions of “Old World”
baking.
We select only the finest ingredients available and personally age our natural
sours to perfection in supervised vats, without using any chemicals or preservatives. Each loaf is baked in our authentic
brick ovens. This type of time honored baking produces delicious and nutritious full bodied breads
with superior crust, texture and taste.
My grandfather was famous for his “babka”, an old world favorite
and a variety of delicious pasties. We have continued to make his wonderful products for more than 100 years.
